Welcome to my personal blog! This section of Natehearsvoices discusses something you cannot find anywhere else. I was an avid reader for most of my adult life, and a few years into my treatment I started documenting the things going on inside my head. These posts are taking literally from my personal experiences.

I understand why most people would be afraid of sharing this kind of information, but I believe that those afflicted may find some comfort in reading about my own struggles. As the story unfolds, I’m hoping that perhaps my readership will find comfort in my openness.

This blog is different from other blogs about mental health in a few ways. First, I am writing from the perspective of someone who is actually living with a mental illness. I am not a doctor, therapist, or mental health expert. I am just a person who is trying to navigate life with schizophrenia.

Second, I am not afraid to be honest and open about my experiences. I will write about the good times, the bad times, and everything in between. I want to show people that it is possible to live a full and meaningful life with a mental illness.

This openness is critical to the story. I’ve come to realize that when someone becomes a completely open about their lives, they come to see the strength that lies within. When your life is public, nobody can hold your actions against you, because you took all of their ammunition from them.

Finally, I want this blog to be a place where people can come to feel supported and understood. I want to create a community where people can share their own stories and experiences without judgment.

Although the last few paragraphs seem very vague, in time I believe this post will speak volumes. With that said, please be kind in your comments.
